Fans have rallied around Sarah, Duchess of York after the ex-working royal opened up about her double cancer battle to mark World Cancer Day.

Ferguson, 65, underwent a single mastectomy and reconstructive surgery in June 2023 for breast cancer and later revealed her prognosis was “good”.
In a cruel twist, Fergie’s breast cancer diagnosis was followed by a skin cancer diagnosis months later after doctors discovered malignant melanoma, which was also successfully treated.
In a new video posted on Instagram, Fergie reflected on her fears that she may not live to see her grandchildren grow up after back-to-back breast and skin cancer diagnoses.
"I was diagnosed with breast cancer and then later on I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma,” she said.
"I was trying to get my head around exactly whether I was going to see my grandchildren, whether I was going to see my children."

The Duchess then shared a plug to wellness app Zoul Meditate and revealed she had become an equity partner in the business, which provide meditative audio content.
“Love you Sarah,” one fan wrote underneath post.
“God bless you, you are inspiration of courage and resilience,” another follower wrote.
The Duke and Duchess of York, who share daughters Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, married in 1986, but divorced a decade later in 1996.
Despite their formal divorce almost three decades ago, the Yorks continue to live together in Andrew’s sprawling residence Royal Lodge.

The former royal couple’s unique living situation has prompted ongoing speculation the Yorks may decide to remarry, with Fergie once teasing that her ex-husband is “still my handsome prince”.
Andrew was stripped of his royal titles and duties in January 2022 after earlier “resigning” from public life in May 2020 over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
Nevertheless, the Duke of York has continued to court controversy in virtual exile, including recent scandals involving old tax filings and his friendship with an alleged Chinese spy.
The Duke and Duchess of York were reportedly asked to stay away from the Royal Family's Christmas at Sandringham as a result of the Duke’s latest controversy.
